A ruthless kind of doe, she doesn't share her opinion of you with you until you ask for it, but when you do you'll instantly regret it. She finds fault in everyone she comes into contact with, starting with her own mother, who was a beautifully light colored doe in good standing with every other royal. Her mother was instantly ashamed of the dark red and slightly mottled fawn she had birthed, and as such Andromeda became embittered of every other royal in the glades, but especially of the glowing princesses that mulled around the great oak like peacocks. She herself was raised traditionally enough to know to keep her mouth shut around other royals, but her opinions on the politics of the time and of those she interacts with daily are always playing in her mind. Because of her little standing amongst other royals, she spends most of her time alone, sometimes accompanied by a guard or a hoofmaiden, but typically she prefers her own company. In despite of her non conventional looks, she takes time out of every day to make sure that her looks are in perfect order before she leaves her small glen.
Appearance: The dark doe keeps herself in good physical order, taking herbal baths in pools about once a month if she can make it. Using herbal mixtures, she keeps her mane and tail smelling of rosemary and mint. She's fairly slender, and likes to stay thinner, trying not to become too heavy for her build. She keeps her mane long, not braiding it, although sometimes using vines to style it. She wears a "crown" of leaves and berries of the season, keeping them greened (or yellow/red) through her magic. She considers herself often too sensible for flowers. Unless they're sunflowers, those work perfectly against her dark red mane. She has a long, thin unicorn like horn that she often weaves vines and flora around in fall and winter.
History: Short after her birth in 753, Andromeda was pegged into the role of the ignored royal. She was mostly ignored by both her mother and father, and so she learned language purely from listening to her mother giving commands to the hoofmaidens and family guards. When she reached the age of two, a brother was born and he was wonderfully dark-- darker even than her-- and her parent's affection turned to him. Her magic was awakened at the age of three, and she was clearly shown to be a quick learner when she was able to bring up small flowers at her feet on her first try. From that point on she dedicated much of her time to practicing her magic, sometimes seeking help in her training from lesser royals who were well practiced in magic. At the age of 6, she decided to leave her family glen and moved to a small glade nearby, using her magic to construct it into a proper structure. She didn't spend much time talking to others in the glades during Drustan's reign, and so she wasn't particularly devastated when he fled with his Harem. During the challenges for kingship afterwards, she watched her younger brother pledge fealty to the lord Rafe, although she herself didn't care too much for the politics of any of the candidates.
In the year 764, the doe broke from the shackles of Glenmorian society with the Blackwood raider doe, Hel. She traveled into Blackwood and undertook the trials to become a member of the Blackwood herd. Quickly after making it over the mountains and into the territory, Andromeda went and took refuge off in the corners of the vast territory near to the Shadow Grove. She spent the winter there, fending for herself and growing as much food as she needed to survive. In 765, when most of the snow melted, Andromeda re-emerged in Blackwood proper, seeking out Hel to be her sponsor, bringing her to King Skoll. In her audience with the king of the Blackwood, Andromeda showed off her strengthened powers and how they would benefit the herd at large. In the summer, Andromeda then took her "Trial of the Mother" to prove her ability to fight and protect herself from the predators of the territory. She returned successful, although it was tough, as she had never made the point to seek out danger for herself and she received some injuries to her legs.
